Voter Registration

Registering to vote can be done in the office of the County Clerk during regular business hours, at the State of Illinois Drivers License Facilities during regular business hours, by a Deputy Registrar, or at public agencies. There can be no registration during the 28 day period preceeding every election until the 2nd day following such election.

Voters shall, by the date of the next election:

  • Have resided in the State, County and Precinct for thirty days
  • Must be eighteen years of age or over by the date of the next election


All applicants must apply in person for registration furnishing two forms of identification.

Any change of address and change of name must be registered with the County Clerk.
