The LCSO Patrol Division provides coverage to 729 square miles 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In addition to handling calls for service, the Patrol Division executes arrests warrants and conducts traffic enforcement, as well as serves summons, civil papers, evictions and orders of protection. All Deputies assigned to the Patrol Division have take home squad cars.
Nemo is a Dutch Sheppard who started Patrol in May 2019 after graduating from a 6-week Utility Canine and Narcotics Detection course in Michigan; Nemo and his handler are certified to the North American Police Work Dog Association standards.
